During August, the North Macedonian NCA announced the receipt of seven new merger notifications:
- Telemach d.o.o. (Bosnia and Herzegovina) - Trion Tel d.o.o. (Bosnia and Herzegovina);
- Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. (Italy) - Seguradoras Unidas, S.A. (Portugal), Calm Eagle Portugal;
- USJE AD (North Macedonia) - ID Company (North Macedonia);
- Fortenova Group (Croatia) - Mercator d.d. (Slovenia);
- Carr Holdings Limited (Cyprus) - Global Technical Services, Global Technical Systems, Global Operation, Center, Global Intelligence (Romania);
- SPIKA (France), Faurecia Exhaust International (France) - Symbio (France);
- DAKR Holdings Limited (Cyprus) - Dentotal Protect Srl (Romania).

Private antitrust enforcement in communist Yugoslavia? It existed! And was better regulated than today
Private antitrust enforcement has been in the spotlight in the EU for several years now, with the EU Commission doing its best to facilitate private damages claims. In perspective, the same trend can be expected in Serbia, an aspiring EU member. What many don’t know is that Yugoslavia had legislation enabling such claims as early as 1970s, during a time it was under (Western-looking) communist rule.
