NCA issues an infringement decision

The Serbian NCA has found that Metabo Center Kragujevac and KAPRO INDUSTRIES LTD entered into a restrictive agreement that significantly limited competition in Serbia’s market for Kapro-brand tools. According to the NCA, Metabo Center pressured foreign suppliers to stop supplying other Serbian distributors, effectively eliminating competition and leading to higher prices for buyers. Additionally, the NCA established that Metabo Center’s contracts with customers included bans on selling below purchase price, further supporting price maintenance and constituting a separate competition violation. Due to the violation, the NCA fined both Metabo Center and Kapro Industries.

Concentration in telecom sector cleared conditionally

The Bosnian competition authority has issued a rare conditional merger clearance, concerning the planned acquisition o Telemach Bosnia by BH Telecom. Apart from certain behavioral measures, the conditional clearance also requires that certain Telemach assets be divested. The deadline for divestment is 18 months.
